Blood, Sweat and the Year Begins

It took many hours, working over holidays and weekends, cancelling leave in some cases – but the buildings are complete and we are ready for our Newberry children.  The first day of term was dedicated to orientation and a welcome to old and new parents, children and staff. We gathered under the trees outside the Breeze environment and listened to Andre Shearer, our Chairman, as he regaled the parents and staff with stories based on the Newberry House journey – then, now and future – it was inspiring.

Sharon Caldwell, a Montessori consultant who visits the school regularly and proposes changes and improvements as we work towards our AMI vision, also addressed the parents who left feeling energised and excited for the year ahead.
